The Story of Glee
The glee club at William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio was at one time the best show choir in the country, taking the national championship in 1993. After coach Lillian Adler passed away and the effeminate Sandy Ryerson took over, the club went downhill...to the point where it had become a "stool choir" and members were dropping out to join the football team or the Cheerios, the school's nationally-ranked cheerleading squad. Funding is running out and when Sandy is let go, there is nobody left to take over the club
Enter Will Schuester, the school's young and optimistic Spanish teacher - who was a glee kid himself at McKinley. When he requests to take over the glee club, he has his work cut out for him as he hopes to take his ragtag group of misfits and turn it into the championship-winning team it once was. But with the school's overambitious cheerleading coach, his demanding wife and other obstacles in his way, Will is determined to make his dream come true and inspire his students to be the very best that they can be
